Margo Reed is a Pennsylvania-based documentary and portrait photographer whose work explores the idea that empathy is endangered in today’s politically and technologically driven world.
Margo hails from Oley Valley, PA (population: 1282), where a small art community supported her young photography career until she moved to in Philadelphia in 2014.
She received her BA in Journalism from Temple University in 2018, and went on to do temp. work as a photographer at the Philadelphia Inquirer. She is currently accepting commissions throughout Southeast and Central Pennsylvania.
Outside of freelance work, Margo runs Jaywalk Media, a small photo and video service offering commercial imagery to community-based organizations.
You might also find Margo playing the viola, going for hikes, or bicycling the Schuylkill River Trail with her dad.
